Admittedly, women leading high-growth SMEs are less numerous than men… but they display higher profitability.
With equal opportunities, would women managers generate better profitability than men? The Women Equity Index, which has been analyzing the performance of small and medium-sized businesses run by women for 10 years, wrings its neck out. Women are at the head of 4,431 of the 28,563 French growth SMEs scrutinized by the survey. “They may be fewer in number, they are no less risk-averse than their male counterparts: their companies are very similar in terms of turnover and number of employees hired,” describes Dunya Bouhacene, President of Women Equity Partners behind the index.
