Research and Sustainable Development : The JEX
Creation of an Experimental Garden (JEX) near our industrial sites.
Melvin Errico, CEO of Jean GAZIGNAIRE – Groupe MUL, says
“I wanted 2 years ago, this place of Research and Development around Perfume, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (PPAM). A space for reflection on new production techniques that meet current challenges in terms of climate change, the protection of biodiversity and the transmission of know-how.
This plot is conducted in organic farming, integrating advanced agroecological practices, validated by the AB (Organic Agriculture) and ROC (Regenerative Organic Certified) certifications.
The JEX now covers a perimeter of experimentation on more than 30 plants, such as blueberry, tagete, achilea, lemon balm, litsea; 6 agronomists and artisans of the land sharing their agricultural knowledge.
We are thus able to respond precisely to the requests of our customers, from the plant to the extract, and establish a planting program respectful of its environment and man.
The Group’s commitment through this latest achievement is to once again affirm its strong educational mission, its duty as an agricultural player for 5 generations”.
